One of my personal favourite ways to get lost on the internet is to meander on over to YouTube, and start watching “True Facts About” videos. For example, would you like to hear some True Facts About the Tarcier? Yes, yes you would.

Well, John Noon, host extraordinaire of the Backhand Shelf Podcast, decided it was time to take an in-depth look at True Facts About Playoff Bound Canadian Teams today. It’s very informative, and we hope you enjoy it.

  1. loved the Vancouver part. I forgot how nuts that city got

  2. hehehehehhehe. awesome. biweekly updates at least from now :)

  3. Not bad, but Schneider is the starter in Vancouver right now, so…

  4. Awesome NOON! Thanks for the laughs.

  5. Do you really want an NHL with only Canadian teams? Look, NHL in “non traditional” markets is questionable sometimes, but it makes the NHL grow. Sure you can stick a team in Winnipeg and have a ton of fans go to games, but the status quo remains. Put a team in Southern California, or Florida and it has the potential to make new fans and grow the sport.
This is a conflicting thought, but unless you want hockey all to yourselves, understand that these aren’t “ass-hat” moves. Some work, some don’t, but you can’t blame everything on Bettman.

  6. you’re doing an awful job at your job if you don’t know cory schneider is starting for van

  7. You’re doing an awful job at getting the joke if you think Schneider-as-backup wasn’t part of the joke.

  8. Lol funny video but the Habs have the best chance out of every single team.

    Suck it sens/leafs.

  9. That… Was… Awesome!

  10. What a beauty job John boy.
That low voice must have been tough to keep going that whole video.
