It’s yet another Raptors preseason game we can’t watch (legally) in Canada as they take on the Chicago Bulls — who are most certainly not investigating the suspicious manner in which Carlos Boozer allegedly broke his hand after tripping over a gym bag. Nevermind that the injury is a “boxer’s fracture” which typically happens as a result of punching something. Everybody knows Carlos is an inherently honest dude, right? You’d have to be blind not to trust him at his word… oh, wait.

The Bulls are 1-2 so far this preseason and their leading scorer is none other than Kyle “Lights Out” Korver (I just gave him that nickname) with 16.3 points per game while shooting 53 percent from the field and 57 percent from three-point range. That three-point shooting is no fluke — he made a league-leading 53 percent of his trey attempts last season, breaking Steve Kerr’s single-season NBA record for accuracy in the process. It’s early, but the three-year, $15 million contract he signed this off-season is looking like a pretty good value right now.

For the Raptors, this would be a good time for Andrea Bargnani to break out of his early slump after two putrid performances to open the preseason. Over his last six regular season games against the Bulls, he averaged 20.6 points and 6.7 rebounds on 50 percent shooting.

Today’s pregame music is a song I’ve been playing seemingly non-stop on my iPod since I downloaded it last week: “Rainbow in the Dark” by Das Racist. Don’t be alarmed by the weird name, these dudes are ridiculously amazing lyricists. If you have recommendations for future pregame songs, drop ‘em in the comments.
