theScore’s Glenn Schiiler recently sat down with Jose Calderon for what is probably the best Calderon interview you’ve ever seen or heard. Among the topics discussed are Calderon’s time in Toronto, his early language barrier with Sam Mitchell, the 2007 and 2008 playoff trips, trade rumours, the up and down nature of the NBA and of course, his commitment to the city of Toronto and the Raptors organization.

Whether you like Jose as a player or not, whether you believe he should be here next year or not, this interview is yet another indication of Calderon’s highly touted character.

Here it is:

Don’t forget to ‘like’ our RaptorBlog Facebook page to keep up to date with all Raptors-related news and notes and to be alerted whenever we post something new.

Scott will have his usual Game Thread up for Raptors/Hornets later, and I’ll provide six thoughts on the game once it’s over.

  1. This would be great … If it played on my iPad…

  2. No, I do not really like Raptor Blog as the video posted there can be viewed just iside Canada. In the “internet time” we live in this comes across as cheap and narrowminded.

  3. Jose was always one of my favourite Raptors. He’s a genuine guy and just wants to win. We always harp on players who don’t want to be here but we should definitely take a step back and look at the ones that do and have committed to the franchise like Jose has.

Keep it up Jose, here’s to more 30+ point games in the future!

  4. Would help if the damn video would actually play…
