Under new head coach Mike Woodson, the Knicks have won three straight games to help them fend off the streaking Bucks for the eighth seed in the East. While Jeremy Lin hasn’t played as much of a role in the Knicks’ offense over these three games as he did under Mike D’Antoni, he had a 19/6/7 line against the Pacers on Saturday so it’s not like Linsanity has been completely extinguished. Speaking of which, you might recall how the Raptors’ previous meeting with Lin and the Knicks ended up…
Jose Calderon will probably return to the Raptors’ starting lineup tonight, and Joseph Casciaro and I have been pretty clear about how we feel about that. I have no idea what Dwane Casey and the Raptors organization are thinking in their flat refusal to acknowledge Jerryd Bayless’ recent tremendous play, but it will be interesting to see how Bayless responds to this — not only tonight but through the rest of the season, and afterwards.
Before tonight’s game, take a few minutes to read this cool account of how Stephen Jackson found out he was headed to the Spurs while he was waiting in line at the airport on his way to join the Warriors.
