The Raptors dropped another heartbreaker to fall to a disappointing 1-6 on the young season, but if there was anything positive to take from this game, it was DeMar DeRozan’s 37-point, eight rebound, six assist performance.

Here are a couple of big plays from DeRozan’s career night:

First, Calderon finds DeRozan for a huge alleyoop jam

My personal favourite DeRozan highlight from the painful loss was this authoritative dunk to put the Raptors ahead by two with less than 24 seconds remaining in the first overtime period:

If the Raptors had been able to get a stop on the other end, this would have been a picture perfect way to end the night for DeRozan and a perfect way for the Raptors to get a win.

Unfortunately, the word “perfect” doesn’t usually belong anywhere near this franchise and its much maligned fanbase, and these two plays will go down as nothing more than a couple of nice highlights from yet another loss.
