The Raptors gave the Thunder a good contest for about 30 minutes, but when OKC flipped the switch in the second half, Toronto’s effort was nowhere near up to the task.

The Raptors came crashing back to earth at the hands of the Sacramento Kings. Toronto was never as bad as it appeared when they were 4-19 and they aren’t as good as their recent stretch – winning eight of nine – made them appear. Tonight was one of the uglier performances of the season, as the Raptors starters couldn’t find any rhythm at either end of the floor.

The Raptors shot the lights out and shared the ball beautifully en route to a 23-point rout of the Trail Blazers and an eighth win in nine games.

Raptors fans spend a decent chunk of time complaining about officiating, and for this season at least, they have reason to. But if we’re going to point out poor officiating, especially in losses, then we have to point out equally poor officiating when it helps Toronto in a Raptors win.

The Raps stomped Portland on Wednesday night, so this play didn’t change the complexion of the game in any way, but it’s still an atrocious blown call…
