With the final game of the season upon us and many fans already looking ahead to what they hope is a prosperous off-season and next season, I figured I’d shake things up over here tonight.
On that note, in lieu of a Game Thread or Thoughts On the Game post later tonight, I’m going to just add some random thoughts I have throughout tonight’s game to this post.
The Raptors head into Boston to face a Celtics team that’s coming off of a puzzling loss to the Bobcats.
If it wasn’t obvious coming into the game, it should be painfully obvious after this game. The Celtics are a veteran playoff team and the Raptors are an inexperienced, surefire lottery team…albeit without an actual lottery pick.

Andrea Bargnani returns to the lineup when the Raptors host the Celtics at the ACC.
I was obviously expecting a Raptors loss in Boston today, especially when it was revealed that Rajon Rondo would return to Boston’s lineup, so I can’t say I’m frustrated or disappointed with the result itself. But when the Raps dig themselves a 16-point first half hole to a vastly superior team, then claw back to make it a two-point game late in the third quarter, it’s hard not to be frustrated at a final spread of 19 points.
