Random thoughts
- Last season, the Raptors finished 14th in Defensive Rating (points allowed per 100 possessions) and allowed their opponents an eFG% of .475. Andrea Bargnani played in just 31 of the team’s 66 games. This season, Bargnani and Jonas Valanciunas have been the starting frontcourt for all nine Raptors games and the team’s Defensive Rating has dropped to 26th while their opponents’ eFG% is up to .511.
- In six previous seasons, J.J. Redick never averaged more than 11.6 points per game or shot better than .444 from the field in a particular season. So far this season, he’s averaging 15.8 points per game and shooting .489 from the field.
- The Magic swept the season series against the Raptors last season, ending with a 117-101 win on March 26 at the Air Canada Centre. Three of Orlando’s starters from that game — Dwight Howard, Ryan Anderson and Jason Richardson — are no longer with the team.

While I doubt the Raptors are featured in many, if any, of those games for the casual NBA fan, we’re here to cater to Raptors fans. And with that, here are the games we think you should circle on the calendar:
Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson are amused by Raptors fans’ reaction to free pizza

Presented without comment: Here is the reaction from the Orlando Magic bench when fans at the Air Canada Centre cheered after the Raptors broke the 100-point mark while trailing the Magic by 17 points with two seconds left in the fourth quarter, which meant fans could trade in their tickets for a free slice of Pizza Pizza. Fist-bump to the fan (who wants to remain anonymous) who sent me this video.
