  1. A healthy Lakers team takes care of the Thunder in 5.

  2. Agreed, Lakers in six, maybe seven, but I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if those 2-4 point games go the Thunder’s way. The Thunder’s immense talent combined with the raw energy is pretty scary against a “slumping” Lakers team that might have motivation problems early on.

    Then again, Kobe.

  3. Hahaha. Was that a tobasco martini Tas? Young team finds some way to hold on til the bitter end —–LAL in 7

  4. The hell kind of martini has Canda Dry in it? :)

  5. That was the grossest looking martini ever.

    How did it taste?

Lakers in 5. I have a feeling the Lakers are going to give the Thunder an ugly ugly beat down in the first game.

  6. Hey Tas, how much Bombay did you get out of that empty bottle?

Lakers in 5 very entertaining games

  7. what in the blue hell are you making?…. was there even alcohol in there?… is that a mock tini?

Lakers in 6…. OKC takes the first game then wakes up sleeping giants

  8. I guess you never were a Bond fan, didn’t shake that martini once!

  9. That martini tasted like a pterodactyl’s wing-pit.

  10. LA in 5, fo sho

  11. Tas told Shaq how his drink taste!

great timing on the vid. first take?

  12. Yes, Mike.

  13. Agreed, Lakers in 6.

  14. am i the only one here that thinks thunders can pull an upset?
its history in the making people!

  15. OKC in 6.

I went there, came back and owned it.

  16. Skeets, I’m not so sure Kobe will be able to play at the same level as, or eve close to, Durant. His field goal percentage has been in the gutter for weeks now; he almost looks like Trevor Ariza trying to create shots in Houston. I think he’s hurt and that’s the biggest issue facing the Lakers. Kobe’s going to take 20+ shots no matter what, and if a bad finger means he makes 30% of them, the Lakers’ offense is in trouble.

If Kobe and Bynum are playing less than 100%, this one could go 7. If Bynum can’t play at all, I think OKC can steal this one. If Kobe and Bynum are both reasonably healthy, LAL in 4 or 5.

  17. [...] The Basketball Jones with a stellar breakdown of the series. [...]

  18. Upset!! OKC in 7.

  19. Frank Oz will come down and grant the series to the Thunder, a team with a real beating heart, after 4 trips down the Purple and Yellow brick road–Thunder in 7 and a fistful of lottery tickets. Who said wishing and hoping never made anything come true? Imagine Nenad on his back in the lane clutching the ball, Mutombo style, his delicate comb over recklessly dashed to the side while the Thunder rolls all over him!
