What could be more normal than dressing head-to-toe in Los Angeles Lakers gear for the birthday party of a Los Angeles Laker? If you’re thinking nothing, then you’re exactly right. Because David Arquette really knocked it out of the metaphorical park on the “acting like a grown-up” scale.
And when I say head-to-toe, I mean it literally.
Because, as you can see, the hair on his head is literally purple and his shoes are literally purple and gold. He is literally dressed head-to-toe in Lakers gear, as I mentioned before. And, as you can see, it’s just a totally Plain Jane way for a 39-year-old guy to celebrate the birthday of a basketball player.
He’s almost acting too normal, you know? Like, duh, of course anyone who has acted in all of the “Scream” movies is going to dress like Ghostface Killah for Ron Artest’s birthday party, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to get sloppy and take pictures with overeager fans who surely posted their snapshots to their Facebooks immediately. That’s something us common folk do, not celebrities. Dial the normal knob back a little, David.
Then again, when it comes to being normal, there’s nothing like fake diamond encrusted John Lennon glasses and a fake grill to really set things off. Combined with a goatee, multi-colored wig and a headband, this look is all business. Like, the taking bank deposits kind of business, not show business. Totally run-of-the-mill.
I mean, who among us hasn’t worn a gigantic foam finger, team-colored apparel and several pieces of jewelry to one of our favorite team’s games? We’ve all done it because we’re all humans. David Arquette’s a human too, and he’s just trying to fit in.
He’s doing a great job.
