Ep. 619: Laundry Day

On today’s show, Skeets and Tas are surprised by the solid NBA action on what was supposed to be a quiet night. Did Ron Artest push Kobe too far with his attempted late game “heroics”? Is Pau Gasol playing too many minutes? Is John Turturro actually a Knicks fan? All that, plus big nights from Brook Lopez, Rajon Rondo and Raymond Felton, Clyde’s moccasin suit, Chanukah wishes, and more of your NBA doodles!

  1. Awww no Matty-O banshee laugh

  2. Uhm the coach is supposed to be VDN by the way..
    Thanks Guys!!!!

  3. Maybe it’s just the cynic in me but i don’t buy the excuse that kobe feels he has to do more in order to win. i think it’s jealousy son, he’s trying to reassert himself as the best player on his own team much less the league with all the talk of gasol as best player for the beginning of the season. Maybe envy is the right word to use instead of jealousy. I wouldn’t mind it as much if he wasn’t shooting like shit. In fairness though the bench hasn’t been showing up recently.

Oh i’d also like to thank you guys for jinxing shannon brown ’cause he’s regressed back to bricking three’s.

  4. What’s the song that you’re playing during the doodles? I need to blast that sucker next time I’m in an elevator with someone. It would get a good laugh!

The Celtics passing in the 3rd quarter was scary good.

Will tomorrow’s Cavs game beat the TV ratings of the Celtics season opener? I hope the fans make their signs using Comic Sans.

  5. funny as hell. DEEP IN DA Q!!! Ha ha, Craptors traded Hibbert for JO way back when

  6. “dats where yo bad breaf and yo lil fuckin… corroded bacteria be runnin around, tap dancin on yall fuckin tongue” -Ghostface. lol

I would also like to add playing Pacers and the Grizzlies in a row might also be bad luck for top teams somehow……

  7. the lakers need to get Dj back

  8. What a great episode…You guys are showering the Celtics with praise, praising Perk, talking about the Lakers losing streak, discussing in detail another Artest unraveling and Kobe being upset because someone else on his team took a shot. I love it. I need to hold on to days like this.

  9. Perhaps “praising” Perk isn’t accurate….but you certainly said his name.

  10. “Kobe being upset because someone else on his team took a shot.” hehe, nice!

Really, you can blame Ron Artest for a lot of things… but Kobe delivered him the ball with 3 sec left on the clock (I just re-watched it) because he couldn’t get a shot off himself. Instead of being pissed now he should remember his two misses vs the Pacers in the final possession.

  11. Pretty sure Xavier Henry uses the english pronunciation for his last name. Dude’s from Oklahoma (Putnam City, stand up!).

Also, I think his first name is pronounced ZAH-vee-AY, fwiw.

  12. HALITOSIS!

  13. When you named the teams the Lakers and Heat lost to, it was like watching the twist in an M. Night Shyamalan movie.

  14. Raymond Felton’s PER is good for 9th in the league for point guards – better than Nelson or Rondo. Dude’s balling. Don’t sleep on him, Taz – he was really good last season too, just took him a while to get on the same page as his teammates in NY

  15. Raymond Felton’s PER is good for 9th in the league for point guards – better than Nelson or Rondo. Dude’s balling. Don’t sleep on him, Tas – he was really good last season too, just took him a while to get on the same page as his teammates in NY

  16. Dwight, JJ and Stan not doing anything? Seriously? Clearly they are chillin’ at practice – like a Bosh.

  17. Stan? Chilling??? NO ONE EVER LISTENS TO STAN VAN!

  18. Big ups for the How I met Your Mother reference guys… and yeah, one of my favourites too Tas
