Full slate tonight, friends. 12 games of NBA delights, some of which should be interesting. I suppose you could also check out “Top Chef: All-Stars” if you’re bored, but 12 games should keep you occupied.
Mmmm … pie. Come to think of it, maybe “Top Chef” is the way to go. Either way, you’re a winner.
Indiana Pacers at Utah Jazz
A month ago, if you’d have told me that two of the most fun teams to watch were the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz I would have been very skeptical. I probably also would have made some crack about this being the game Gordon Hayward was destined to play in. Not much has changed.
Orlando Magic at Chicago Bulls
There’s a very good chance Carlos Boozer will be making his Chicago debut tonight. Between that and Joakim Noah’s bobblehead, this is a big night for tall guys with odd facial hair.
Los Angeles Lakers at Houston Rockets
This pick goes out to all those humans who love centers who throw bounce passes. I’m looking at you, Bill Walton and my dad.
Minnesota Timberwolves at Dallas Mavericks
Between Kevin Love, Dirk Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler, expect some serious rebounding numbers. If it weren’t for Shawn Marion’s terrible shooting and Jason Kidd’s skills, this might be the very first game in NBA history where no backcourt players grab a board.
San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Clippers
Blake Griffin is very fast and can jump very high, as you know. And, as you know, the Spurs don’t really have any big guys who can do that, which is why plays like this happen. That alone is reason to put some eyes on this.
