TBJ Top 5, featuring an easy five

Five games tonight which makes picking the top five games pretty easy. Because of math, five equals five which equals top five. Simple, so let’s rank ‘em.

1. Golden State Warriors at Utah Jazz
Maybe this won’t be the best game (because the Warriors are bad, very bad, Michael Jackson) but it’ll definitely be the most fun. The Jazz aren’t going to shy away from running with the Warriors and both of these offenses are going to put up some serious points. Fun times. Plus, as you can see, Andrei Kirilenko is still very excited to avenge his death at the hands of Baron Davis.

2. New Orleans Hornets at Miami Heat
OK, so the Hornets aren’t good but Chris Paul makes it worth it. He’s always ready for big games and he usually delivers. It’s at least worth tuning in to see if he can pull a 30 point, 15 assist game out and make this thing close.

3. Milwaukee Bucks at Dallas Mavericks
Maybe I’m giving the Bucks too much credit at this point — they are four games under .500, after all — but this should be a tight game. Plus, the Mavericks are riding that huge winning streak and that’s always fun.

4. Indiana Pacers at Chicago Bulls
Statistically, these two teams couldn’t be more similar. Both score 105 points per 100 possessions. Defensively, the Bulls give up 102.3 points per 100 possessions and the Pacers give up 102.6. The Pacers average one more possession a game than the Bulls. Totally twinsies. Hopefully, that makes for a good game.

5. Portland Trail Blazers at Memphis Grizzlies
I’d be a lot more excited about this game if both teams had Bonzi Wells. Both because Bonzi is crazy and because I really think that cloning is possible, yet scary. I’ve seen “Multiplicity.” I know the risks.
