Games and games and games and games tonight, Jonesers. Good ones, too. Should be a pretty fun night, if you like basketball. And since you’re reading this website, you probably do. Embrace it.
Boston Celtics at New York Knicks
Here’s that “rivalry” game that everyone’s all hot and bothered about. And even though Paul Pierce is probably right and this isn’t much of a rivalry right now, it should still be a good game. A team with 10 straight wins plays on the road against a team with eight straight wins? Sign me up.
Los Angeles Lakers at Indiana Pacers
Remember when the Pacers beat the Lakers a couple of weeks ago? That was funny, as long as you’re not a Lakers fan. This time, L.A.’s finest have Andrew Bynum to bump heads with Roy Hibbert. That changes things a bit.
Minnesota Timberwolves at Phoenix Suns
Let’s just do away with defense for this game. It’s not like any is going to be played anyways, so we might as well go full bore with the scoring. Here’s hoping for 300 combined points.
Cleveland Cavaliers at Miami Heat
That team plays that guy again, only no one cares this time because the Cavs haven’t won and the Heat haven’t lost since Miami won the first matchup. Oh, and it’s in Miami, where people can’t be bothered to hate anyone. Unless, of course, someone ruins their white linen pants. Then it’s hatin’ time.
Chicago Bulls at Toronto Raptors
OK, OK — this probably won’t be the best game ever. Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah are both banged up and the Raptors are the Raptors. However, Skeets and I bet on this game. Winner gets to become King of Friendship and gets ownership of this crown. High stakes, for sure.
