It’s been a long time coming, but Carmelo Anthony is (almost) finally a Knick. This is the greatest thing that has happened to New York basketball since everyone was saying the same thing about Amar’e Stoudemire. Two All-Stars on the same team? That’s downright Spursian. Everyone celebrate. With t-shirts, hopefully.
What you see is the first of what is sure to be a large crop of Amar’e Knicks wear. It’s from UNDRCRWN, it costs $28 and it’s based on Patrick Ewing’s 1986 adidas logo. Yep, that’s a comparison to one of the greatest Knicks to ever Knick even before ‘Melo’s passed his physical. Cheeky, and worth a purchase if you’re a big-time Knickerbocker backer.
Plus, all ‘Melo has to do to fill Ewing’s shoes is make the Finals, be voted in to the Hall of Fame, sweat more than anyone else in the NBA and then kick around the league in his twilight years while looking funny in different uniforms. Child’s play.
