It’s St. Patrick’s Day today, a holiday celebrated more by college kids than anyone else, but still a holiday, even if no one gets the day off work. And because it’s a holiday, that means special shoes for some of your favorite NBA players. Like clockwork, some of your favorite brands are bringing out special colorways for that one time a year when delicious Shamrock Shakes are available.

From left to right you’ll see, Derrick Rose’s adidas adiZero Rose 1.5, Joakim Noah’s Le Coq Sportif Noah Pro Model 2.0, Carmelo Anthony’s Jordan Melo M7, Dwight Howard’s adidas SuperBeast and Kyle Korver’s Converse Star Player EVO, with bigger pictures after the jump. They’re all nice looking, but if I had to pick a winner, I’d go with Korver’s Converse because I love the subtle gold details, white toe and the fact that a major shoe brand is making special shoes for Kyle Korver. That’s as inexplicable as it is excellent.

Nonetheless, these are all good shoes. I love the bright green on Dwight’s shoes, the skeletal look of Rose’s, the orange laces on Melo’s and the gradient on Noah’s. Can’t go wrong with any of these, especially because wearing them will save you from a day full of pinches from that lady with the bangs at your office.
