This isn’t the first promo video for a Most Improved Player candidate that we’ve ever seen — who can forget Corey Brewer’s legendary “Brewer’s Brew” campaign? — but it is definitely the first promotion that takes an NBA player and makes him in to a superhero, only to immediately drop the superhero references in order to play an early ’90s rap song that contains said player’s nickname. Absolutely the first one of those.

Fine by me, though. If a grown man wants to be known as “The Incredible Hump” while he’s dating a woman who became famous in part because of a sex tape, more power to him. He’s got my vote.
