Someday, when we look back at Kevin Love’s career, we’ll look at this season as the one where his statistics were a tiny bit better than they were the season before. We’ll say, “Wow, he really improved exactly as much as you’d think for a third-year guy who finally gets the minutes he deserves.” And that’s why he’s this season’s Most Improved Player. Big ups yourself, Kevin Love.
Funny thing is, if he shaves the Color Me Badd beard, he can win it again next year.

to be fair here, he did improve his per 36 numbers as well, improved his shooting and 3 point percentage just as well as basically every advanced stat out there. Also has been in better shape (improvement is improvement)
Not the type of player i´d have given it to, but not as bad as it might seem on first glance.
advance offensive stats that is of course (offensive rating and offensive win shares went up by unbelievable margins on an equally terrible team compared to last year)
defensively he´s still utter crap.
I do not agree at all.
A bit like Derrick Rose, Kevin Love was the “best story” among the candidates for Most Improved, and not actually the “Most Improved” player of the bunch.
Russell Westbrook would have been a better choice, or LaMarcus Aldridge.
Bara- I disagree. Westbrook and Aldridge getting it would be the same as Love getting it. Marginal improvements from already good players.
Probably would have voted for Kris Humphries if I had a vote.
J-Woww never lets Snookie hold the sign.
Perfect example of Minnesota Nice: we’re willing to pick nits out of the hair of total strangers.
I would have voted for Kris Humphries. He was the textbook definition of “improved” IMO. Went from a offensive player to a defensive minded, rebounder & shot blocker and ended up improving his offense along the way. He had career highs across the board. And he STILL didn’t get as many minutes as all the other candidates ahead of him, yet somehow managed to average a double double.
He deserve it. He has been exceptional, at least while Timberwolves still trying to catch-up to the playoff series. He never let the team’s not so good reputation put him down.
I hope he will get what he deserve, same w/ what Paul Pierce got from Boston Celtics when they initiated the Big 3 trending and eventually got the RING!!!
Keep it up and spread some LOVE, Kevin.
