Dallas Mavericks 122, Los Angeles Lakers 86
At least the Phil Jackson’s last game ever was a hard-fought, cleanly-contested, competitive affair that left both teams feeling good about themselves afterward. Except the exact opposite of that. Great win for Dallas, however, as it gives them a chance to rest their old bones before their next series. They came out of this looking good in all facets, except for cool face owners. They did not do well in that category.

Atlanta Hawks 100, Chicago Bulls 88
At one point, Atlanta fans were literally groaning and yelling “NOOOOOOOOOO” when Josh Smith was bricking 18-footers, but by the end of the game he was apparently the best player to ever wear a Hawks jersey, totaling 23 points on 22 shots along with 16 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks and a steal. Nice win for the Hawks, who seem to win any time they shoot almost 50 percent from the floor. Stop letting them do that, Bulls.
