To quote “When Steve Nash isn’t producing documentaries, he’s starring in ‘em.” Apparently.

As you see, the Suns guard will be in front of the camera as the subject of an upcoming documentary aptly titled, “Nash.” According to YouTube, the doc is being produced by Crunchtime Films in association with Donnelly Films, and, I guess, will follow the life of one of the most prized basketball players in the world. Works for me.

Oh, it’ll also feature an Owen Wilson cameo, which, yes, automatically makes it my third favorite movie of all-time.

(In case you wondering: 1. “Rad,” 2. “The Wizard,” 3. “Nash.”)

Anyway, more details to come, I’m sure.

  1. The Wizard is an excellent movie. Great taste, JE. (It’s on Netflix Instant right now, FYI).

  2. Can’t wait to see it. Steve Nash has always struck me as one of the most likeable of NBA stars: he’s smart, humble, has that dry, self-deprecating Canadian humor, and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. As his career winds down, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to see him go on to succeed in something else.

  3. Agree MG. I think it’s really somewhat amazing how he’s been able to convey the depth of personality in todays 30 second Sportcenter clip world. There may be other NBA players that are just as interesting people as Steve Nash, but I don’t think many of them are able to articulate that so naturally and quickly.

  4. Nice Rad shout out. Nobody I know remembers it. Loved that movie.
