  1. you have to promounce Valančiūnas’ name- vah-lahn-chew-nass

  2. From what I understand, Mesa, AZ (part of the Phoenix Metro area), has the second largest Mormon population in the U.S.

  3. Great job by everyone except Clark . . .

  4. Recap of TBJ mock draft picks:

    1. Cavs – Kyrie Irving
    2. Wolves – Derrick Williams
    3. Jazz – Brandon Knight
    4. Cavs – Jonas Valanciunas
    5. Raptors – Kemba Walker
    6. Wizards – Enes Kanter
    7. Kings – Kawhi Leonard
    8. Pistons – Bismack Biyombo
    9. Bobcats – Jordan Hamilton
    10. Bucks – Alec Burks
    11. Warriors – Klay Thompson
    12. Jazz – Jan Vesely
    13. Suns – Jimmer Fredette
    14. Rockets – Chris Singleton

  5. Biyombo? Are you kidding me? Few players in the lottery are that one sided, to take him at the three would be suicide. If I were the Jazz and I didn’t take Knight I’d get Kemba Walker. I can see Walker as being more effective than Knight because of his athleticism and determination. Very Chris Paul like, with some more muscle.

But the Jazz don’t necessarily need a pure point guard right away. Gordon Hayward is a very effective distributor, as is Earl Watson (assuming Knight could defend and get shots at the two). The interior passing between Jefferson and Millsap is also very good.

Getting a big at three is basically a vote of no confidence in Derrick Favors. He proved himself to be very effective at the end of last season when he wasn’t getting into foul trouble.

  6. Mark my word we take biyombo with the 5th pick… BC worked him out three times already. Kemba walker is not even a better prospect then our own jaryd bayless.

And, there’s gonna be a season.
In 1999, the NBA had its biggest downgrade ever in interest, I’d be inclined to believe they learned their lesson. Plus I read recently that neither part wants to lose any games, let alone the season. I want to believe they now understand how many fans they lose per games unplayed and petty arguments about big money.
