Picture in your mind’s eye the least surprising NBA news you could possibly imagine.

Is it that LeBron James said something complimentary about himself? Could it be that that Eddy Curry is injured again? Or is it that Deron Williams got another terrible haircut?

Nope. It’s none of those very good options. It’s this. From Hollywood Life:

Keeping up with the Kardashians is about to be even harder! HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are both in talks to create a spin-off reality show, in addition to “Keeping Up with the Kardashians!”

“Kim and Kris have been filming different parts of their lives, including wedding prep, but their show hinges on Kris’s contract negotiations,” an insider close to the production tells us. “Currently he’s a free agent, but it all depends on what teams he ends up with and their rules for their players and outside commitments.”

Duh. Of course Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have already started filming their reality show. That’s what Kardashians do. That and make athletes better for some reason. If these two weren’t filming a reality show, then I’d be surprised.

Hilariously, the prospects of “Humpin’ with Kim” (working title, I’m guessing) supposedly hinge on where Kris Humphries ends up signing his next contract. Because he could sign with a team who isn’t down with all the cameras, all this quality footage could end up on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” And because we’re in the middle of a lockout, it could be a while before Kris puts ink to paper, which proves that this work stoppage is affecting us all in ways we could never imagine.

That’s worrisome, if you ask me. Not only are there a ton of money issues to be sorted out, David Stern must know he could singlehandedly prevent another Kardashian series. He’s a smart man, so expect this stoppage to last a while.
