Oh my gosh you guys, tomorrow is FINALLY the day when we get to see when our favorite teams are playing basketball next season. It’s about time. I’ve waited for this day since the final horn sounded in Game 6 of the Finals. Schedule day is the best day ever. Aren’t you excited?

No? Why not?

Oh right. Because of the lockout.

That makes sense, now that you mention it. Hadn’t really thought of that. Good point though.

I guess when you think about it, NBA schedule day is a pretty weird thing to get excited about this year, considering the schedule could be wholly irrelevant in just a few months time. I mean, if one game is missed, they have to re-do the whole thing. Sounds like a lot of work for nothing.

Plus, now that I’m really thinking this through, if they have to re-do the whole thing, then this one doesn’t even count and they’re basically announcing movie times for movies that might not even be released. I mean, I’m as excited as anyone to see the “Arrested Development” movie, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to buy tickets for a November premiere. Miss you, Buster.

So yeah, never mind about that schedule release. At least it’s still my dad’s birthday tomorrow. That way this cake I bought for schedule day won’t be wasted.

Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.

  1. I look forward to SG #3 on the Heat having yet another great season

  2. Maybe you guys could have a sim leage, like what the nhl did for its lockout. You could use nba2k11 (or nba2k12 if it comes out at a good time) to do it.

  3. Wait, who’s b-day is tomorrow? Papa Taco Kerby or Brian Cardinal? In which case, what do you get the man who has an NBA ring? I know, a new labor agreement … now I’ve made myself sad

  4. I can’t wait to see the Heat play the Lakers on TV at Christmas… you know… that is if David Stern decides there will be a Christmas.

  5. This is a twisted joke on behalf of Mr Stern…. Here is the list of what great games you will be watching…… NOT! :D
