I watched last night’s episode of “Law & Order: SVU” for research purposes, since it was going to be starring two of the NBA’s most beloved superstars. Because you probably aren’t a BensonHead — that is the colloquial name for all of us die-hard Mariska Hargitay fans — I’ve uncovered the two scenes that feature these two dudes. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

According to IMDB, they were playing themselves, which makes it pretty weird that they were both inducting a high school coach in to the Metro Basketball Hall of Fame, since neither of them grew up in New York City. But I guess that’s the magic of television. (Also, nice to see Jack Arnold getting some work, but this is not The Wonder Years Jones, so have that discussion on your own time. Not in my classroom, Eric.)

They didn’t have the meatiest roles, but I think we can all agree that they totally nailed it, since I assume that two millionaires inducting a coach they don’t know in to a tiny Hall of Fame would be as bored as these guys look. Chris Bosh, in particular was great. He really patted Eggs’ shoulder really well. You can tell it was very comforting.

  1. Chris Bosh was amazing… Melo, needs more work… did you see bosh grab that dudes shoulder? just a master piece (of crap) … but at the end of the day, he has more money then me.. and taller, and blacker (actually i think hes slightly blacker then me) … oh well.

  2. I don’t regularly watch the show, but i do find Mariska Hargitay to be strangely attractive.

Props to Bosh and ‘Melo for expanding their horizons, but I haven’t seen actors that stiff since the last time I watched an adult film.

    …which was last night.

  3. “…which was last night” roflmao!!! i almost spit up my cereal hahaha

  4. I don’t know how it’s possible in such a short stint but Bosh was absolutely dreadful in that clip. He gave away what was going to happen during the coach’s speech by acting like a steely-eyed gangster staring out into the crowd. It’s just a dinner honoring a coach and Bosh is there standing like, “Do it, I dare you, Punk” before anything happens. Carmelo showed much more credible emotion than Bosh did and all he did was squint a few times. That’s how bad Bosh was.

  5. yaaaay! trey’s a truebie :D eggs was killin it, sometimes

  6. dood, you need to do the ‘wonder years’ jones

  7. That pat on the shoulder sold the performance. lol
