John Wall set himself one simple objective in his NBA career. A goal that should be easy to reach, just as long as he puts his mind to it. Should be no problem, really.

What is that one easily obtained target he set for himself in a recent Reebok ad?

“I just want to be the best point guard to ever play the game.”

Oh. Cool. Dude just wants to be the best point guard to ever play the game. No big deal.

Should be easy enough. All he has to do is win more than five championships, get more than three MVPs and make at least 13 All-Star teams. Oh, and do all that while smiling all the time. Take care of that minor stuff and it’ll be a breeze.

My fourth grade teacher, Mr. Thoms, told me you can do anything if you put your mind to it, so this is a good start. Not to mention, it’d make for a wonderful opening scene in an after school movie.

  1. WHOA?!?! SINCE WHEN DID JOHN WALL CHANGE HIS NUMBER TO 11?

  2. Wait. Nevermind -.-

  3. Personally I enjoy when players say things like this. Sure you should always respect the greats that have come before you, but why not aim to be better than all of them?

“Why can’t I be MVP of the league? Why can’t I be the best player in the league?” -Derrick Rose

Love seeing young players with the drive.

  4. Lmwoooo, I can’t believe I always forget to hover over each pic to read the description.. glad I got it this time

  5. Changed it from No. 2 because he came second in the rookie of the year?
    I hope that’s the reason.

  6. Again…nevermind.
Just me or does it look like he’s about to be sick in that picture?

  7. man that alternate logo really looks phallic lol

  8. He is a very, very talented kid. On a bullcrap team though. I’d like to see him really develop on a decent team.

High goals = excellent in my book.
