So, you’ve probably heard the news by now, Phil Collins …

The Basketball Jones are going on tour!

Starting Nov. 1, 2011, we will be visiting 10 North American cities over the span of about 30 days for the TBJ Tour: No Season Required. The plan: Shoot video content in each city, as well as record an hour-long audio podcast — with guests — in front of you, our live audience.

Now, we’re not the Rolling Stones, by any stretch of the imagination, so venues will be pretty small — comedy clubs, in the back of bars, etc. — but we’re hoping to get about 50 or so people out for each show. (Well, except for Miami. We might get three people out for that one.)

We’re currently booking venues and guests in each city — and we’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date on both — but for now, here’s what our schedule is lookin’ like (Note: Most shows will start around 7:30 p.m.; all will be FREE!):

Chicago: Thursday, Nov. 3
Portland: Sunday, Nov. 6
San Francisco/Oakland: Tuesday, Nov. 8
Los Angeles: Monday, Nov. 14
Oklahoma City: Thursday, Nov. 17
San Antonio: Sunday, Nov. 20
Miami: Wednesday, Nov. 23
NYC: Tuesday, Nov. 29
Boston: Friday, Dec. 2
Toronto: Friday, Dec. 9

Of course, some of these dates are subject to change, but at least you have an idea.

Again, we’ll have more info for you guys in the next two weeks — mainly, venues and guests — but in the meantime, make sure you’re a fan of TBJ on Facebook. We’ll start setting up FB event pages for each city shortly. Anyway, we’re really lookin’ forward to meeting The B.J. Army. (Pause.) See you soon!

    Grand Junction, here we come!

  7. 11/3 is a Thursday. Wait, maybe I shouldn’t reveal that so there’s still room for me to attend! So, so, excite.

  8. Beers on me in Portland

  10. Yeah for OKC! We’ll fill it out!

  13. and Miami can like my ass. those cheese-dicks don’t deserve live TBJ. save some gas mileage and come to Atlanta. real talk.

  14. Yeah, I loved the OKC stop. completely necessary. let’s take some time to re-watch sonicgate (free online).

  15. arghh!! I want TBJ in DC! gonna have to road trip up to NYC…

  16. Another round of beers on me when you get to P-Town, OR.

  17. See you guys in San Antonio! This is awesome!!

Not doing the Aaaayyyoooh though. And I’m only buying beers for JD

  18. Actually forget my own gripes, no Dallas — the current NBA champs?

  19. I smirk every time I hear “B.J. Army”

  20. You guys need to come to Sacramento on the way to LA. Regardless, I’ll still make the drive down the 80 to SF though. No way I’m missing this.

  25. Im 15 though… been listening since ’08 please tell me that i can actually get into the show

  26. big ups in portland! i’ll be there

  27. I guess it makes sense you aren’t coming to Michigan—where you go, Detroit?—but aw shucks.

  28. There should be a ‘would’ in there.

  29. Not much love for Canada here – understood. Was hoping to see Halifax. Who would you get as a guest?……. hmmm. Good call.

  30. There seems to be a mistake, these are all in the US were regular season games happen. We missed the preseason warm ups in London and europe this year I think you should come over on a european tour.

If Skeets had put the effort in whilst in Barcelona that would have been a start!

  31. The lack of a Philly stop just confirms once more what a depressing NBA town we’ve become. That you’re willingly going to Oklahoma and San Antonio instead makes it that much more sad for all of us in the City of Brotherly Love.

  32. This is a two-towel idea

  33. shall I come to the LA outing? once-in-a-lifetime experience. stay tuned…

  34. Yesh. L.A.!!!!!!!!!!

    TBJ Barnstorming tour 2011!!!!!!!!!!

Get Ramonas Burritos while you’re here.

  35. Whoa, you’re not coming to the D.C./Northern Virginia and Baltimore region? Don’t you want to reenact The Wire?

  36. round of water on me in portland, with all these free beers you’ll be apparently getting SOMEONE needs to make sure you survive

  37. I just recently google mapped your entire trip – logistics wise, it would make sense to have a “reunion/sympathy show” in the Vancouver/Seattle region. Poor kids lost their teams – give them some love.

Also, are you guys renting a winnebago and road tripping this entire TBJ Tour? You should probably have video clips of that as well. Many of them.

  38. 1. Loving how many Paul’s are commenting today
    2. B.J.’s Army is still probably less gay than Dumbledore’s Army (not that there’s anything wrong with that)
    3. Swing by NJ in between Miami and NYC. You may think Nets but tons of Knicks fans too.

  39. You guys have spent the last year unfairly ripping into my hometown of Miami, LeBron, and the Miami Heat, taking part in what has become an irrational feeding frenzy. I look forward to seeing you guys on November 23.

  40. Keep up the superb piece of work, I read few articles on this site and I think that your web site is really interesting and contains bands of excellent information.

  41. Thank you, I have recently been looking for details about this topic for ages and yours is the best I’ve located so far.
