This is it, TBJers. The beginning of an international podcast tour, the likes of which have never been seen. Seriously, would you ever think that a podcast that started with two Canadians talking hoops in some dude’s kitchen would travel across the United States making jokes and having laughs from sea to shining sea? Exactly.
That’s why we’re going to make this thing really special. At each stop we’ll be doing a live episode of The [BLANK] Jones which we’ll post here the next day for everyone to enjoy. We’ll also be doing videos every stop along the way, which you’ll also be able to see right here. Those are the biggest pieces of the tour.
But that’s not it.
Because there’s no season and we have nothing better to do, this blog is going to serve as a running diary of sorts. Anything basketball-y we find will end up here, whether that be some kid with mad handles we see walking down the street or a dad wearing a Detlef Schrempf Mavericks jersey tucked in to khakis, you’ll be seeing it too. Plus, we’ll still be bringing you the piping hot content you’re used to, albeit not quite as often because, well, we’ll be super busy with all the other stuff that’s going to be here too.
Simply put, there’s going to be lots of stuff to enjoy. Come back again and again. You won’t be disappointed.
But if all that isn’t enough, you can follow all of us on Twitter — me, Skeets, Tas, Matt, JD and even Leigh, who’s joining us and is awesome/Australian — for zings, jokes and all the silliness that the world’s foremost microblogging service provides. You’re going to want to make sure your retweet game is on point.
Oh, and definitely hit up our Facebook page, because that’s going to be popping too. Not only will that be where you can find out all the information you need for the live events, we’ll also have nonsense stuff, like us doing eating challenges or farting on each other’s faces. Basically, we want all your likes.
So yeah, we’ve got a lot going on and we want you all to be a part of it. Come to the live shows, check out everything we’re working on and digitally join us on the most fun, maybe silliest thing we’ve ever done. It’s going to be great.
Right now, we’re flying to Chicago. When we land, it’s on.
