Like a ragtag jug band, The Basketball Jones is on the road and coming to your town. It’s No Season Required.

On today’s show, we’re joined by Celtics’ radio play-by-play man, Sean Grande, and Grantland’s Jonah Keri to discuss: Swearing on live television, giving horrible advice to college kids, NBA wrestlers, speaking to a human fish, KG’s infamous CV trash talk, hamburgers in Compton, batting cages, and much, much more.

Trust me, guys. This is a really exciting time to be in journalism.

Final show: Dec. 9, Toronto.

Previous shows: Chicago, Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles, OKC, San Antonio, Miami and New York.

  1. Listen to the end to hear my completely anti-climactic Delino DeShields story.

  2. …aaaand TBJ is BACK!

  3. I was there and it was a great show! But, for those of you listening and wondering what the hell Tas was talking about with the out-of-nowhere Stockton comment about assists, there was a guy wearing a Stockton jersey who bought a round of beers for the guys.

  4. And the 30+ day demonstration of why the production staff people (not you JD or Leigh) should not be anywhere close to a microphone. Just turrible!!

    Great show otherwise.

  5. I’m glad the tour is ending. As much fun as it’s been, this show was pretty flat until the Grantland and KG talk.

You guys know we have a season now? You could actually talk about that with your guests, instead of pro wrestling and The Four-skins.

  6. Really exciting time to be in journalism…sage advice.
