On today’s volatile live episode of “The Fix,” Skeets and Tas discuss: the San Antonio Spurs’ decision to retire Bruce Bowen’s No. 12 jersey, Avery Bradley’s insane full-court defense, Jameer Nelson’s struggles, the Celtics’ D vs. the Magic’s O, Ricky Rubio’s worst game in the NBA, Kyle Lowry’s sneaky triple-double, and Kevin McHale’s unorthodox ultra-small lineup in the 4Q. All that, plus our sleeper championship teams, the biggest reason the Knicks are on a slide, and dream NBA player/television reality show pairings. Enjoy.

  1. kevin love was drafted by kevin mchale… so don’t give kahn more credit than he deserves :D just rubio. that’s like his only good decision.

  2. Getting edgy at the end there? Still bros?

  3. For some reason the live stream has never been working for me..despite whatever browser i’m using. Oh well, just catch it here instead.

  4. I love that you guys probably sort of hate each other.

    • Probably?

      (I kid, I kid.)

    • If you went to a No Season Required show you could tell they despise each other. Boiling, simmering hatred seething from them, almost visibly. They seem to effectively drown it out with lots and lots of alcohol, though.

  5. Thanks for the shoutout you guys. I played that video for my coworkers. My boss, uh, didn’t like that I was spending my afternoons doing this every day. Worth it!

  6. Uh oh, the bromance is over! While I wouldn’t want to see it often, the heated arguing was kind of fun.

  7. Jesus, is it that time of month for Skeets? I haven’t heard that much whining since the last Heat game…

  8. We come for some fun, but serious hoops analysis; gotta call out sheets on the ‘shots werent falling’ crap. Did u study under Sam Mitchell? That was every raps post game press conference… “we just didn’t make shots”. And, cant we all just get along?!?!

  9. I didn’t think there was any whining just some good ‘ol competitive fire. It’s good to see. Afterall you talk sports and its easy to get caught up in it all.

  10. You guys were talking about Kevin Martin for a while and then 2 min. later, you ask who wears number 12…how bout Kevin Martin? lol

  11. Jameer Nelson and Devin Harris are interchangeable names in the opening exchange. I suppose that the reasons are either a) although it took a while, their limited skills were clamped by advance scouts and coaches; or b) injuries have worn them down psychologically and/or physiologically.

Who’ll be surprised if they’re both playing in unfamiliar jerseys at the end of the season?

  12. This won’t change anything for the Celtics. As they get into better shape and have more time under their belts, there will be improvements. But, as you guys said, they still can’t score. And, as well as they defended, the Magic were also cold to a flukey level.

It is nice to think the Cs may make the playoffs….so that’s good…but no way they could hold up in a series against the likes of Miami or Chicago.

Boston and Orlando play again Thursday. I have a feeling the Magic will be up for that one.

  13. And, not to be lost in all of this is that the Magic suck as well.
