Exhibit A — Serge Ibaka blocks 10 shots against the Mavericks
This is great shot-blocking. Since 2000, 10 blocks is tied for the third-highest one game total, just behind Keon Clark, JaVale McGee (both 12) and Marcus Camby (11). Plus, the Thunder won by nine, so these were very important to the cause.
Exhibit B — Marcus Camby blocks three straight shots in 16 seconds
Extrapolated over a minute, this comes out to 15 blocks per minute. Over 36 minutes, that’s 405 blocks in a single game. That’s incredible, even though I can’t imagine Marcus Camby could keep up such a pace. If he did though, that’d be the second-most blocks in a single season. I think he should go for it.

10 Blocks are 10 Blocks, but that Camby sequence was unreal. Plus he could be Serge’s Dad so he gets my vote.
I absolutely loved Camby just locking it down. He actually got 4 blocks during 2 consecutive Bobcats shot clocks. It was sick. I was going nuts watching it.
Maybe I’m a little biased. My username is “blazers6thman” after all. Who knows.
Props to both guys for their performances. But seriously, Camby locked it down and he’s near retirement.
Obviously Serge, he’s playing a real team. The Camby blocks were viscous but I’ve done those as well playing against kindergartners.
yeah in terms of difficulty you gotta give it to ibaka but camby’s block fest was fun to watch
This comment is even better if you interpret it literally as “viscous”.
Ibaka’s was the better accomplishment of the two, but the better highlight is definitely Camby. Especially that volleyball spike into the crowd at the end.
The Camby video makes me miss him again. Wish he was able to stay with the Clippers somehow.
spoiler: cambys second block is not a block its a deflected alley oop pass, but heck it was fun to watch
Yeah, I thought so too, but what the heck…
Hey Trey, imagine if he had 540 blocks per game over a 40 year period (Camby’s career so far) huh?
A think Ibaka and JaVale should somehow make a push for a quadruple double. Both capable of 10+ block obviously. Points and rebounds are also plausible I guess. Teammates should chip in and help them out with a few buckets for 10 assists. That should be fun no doubt.
“Exhibit B — Marcus Camby blocks three straight shots in 16 seconds
Extrapolated over a minute, this comes out to 15 blocks per minute.” Is it just me or… is something wrong with the math here? 60 divided by 16 is 3,75. 3 blocks times 3.75 equals 11,25 blocks/minute. Hence it’s only 405 blocks/36 minutes.
Trey used 4 blocks in the calc I believe
Yep. Butchered the math. Good catch guys.
dang i dont know… Serg was real good and so was camby’s. i give the edge to serg
ibaka is a man bear beast. he wins.
Ah, the immortal Keon Clark
