I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that this is the funniest video ever created and that these two random Mavericks fans — but not those two Mavericks fans — who happened to accidentally picked up by ESPN’s mics are our generation’s Statler and Waldorf. But I am going to tell you that this video is fascinating because it captures candid moments that reveal that even if you’re totally invested in cheering for a basketball game, everything that comes out of your mouth will be the most mundane stuff imaginable. Maybe you’ll have a nice zinger here and there, but for the most part, you’re just saying “Defense!” and “Go team!” over and over.

And seriously, if anyone knows where Lamar Odom is, please let these people know.

  1. I love the “Yeah, bitch!” while it showed Gasol on the bench playing with his beard.

  2. Pretty sure the male voice is Costsnza’s dad (aka Jerry StIller)

  3. There was a lot to boo in that game. Also, the gravel-voiced guy sounds like Big Nellie (Don). Good to hear he’s back in Dallas providing support.

  4. “I love that guy, he’s so rich”

  5. I feel bad for the people who had to sit beside them.. I can’t imagine how annoying it would have been to listen to that the whole time

  6. When did Moon Unit Zappa become a Mavs fan? Are the Zappa kids making a new song called Mav-vy Girl?

    Seriously, where is Lamar?

  7. I liked the woman. She was positive and partial like a mom cheering for her massively overgrown kids. Besides complaining at one point that they were so old, she could have fit in at a youth game.

  8. hahaa classic, he sounds like he has a touch of seth rogen in his voice too, so lovely.
