No matter what kind of ads the NBA comes out with in the next two months, they’re not going to be anywhere near as good as this playoffs commercial that’s running on China’s closed circuit television. Try all you want, but it just can’t be topped.

How can you compete with with the Tekkenization — Is Tekken still a thing? Kind of out of the fighting games scene for, oh, the past 15 years. Just let me know. Thanks. — of the NBA’s biggest stars? It’s impossible.

I don’t even care that I have no idea what is going on. That just makes it better.

  1. Game over. Why is the rest of the world even still trying?

Here’s the best we got: http://nbasantas.blogspot.com/2012/04/its-most-wonderful-time-of-yeeaaaarrr.html

  2. dafuq did i just watch?

  3. Tekken vs. Street Fighter dropped back in March. Hotness.

  4. That looks a lot more like Dynasty Warriors than Tekken to me. Sweet promo though. Just like manufacturing products that may or may not be hazardous to you, your children, or your pet’s health, China is always the best.

This has nothing to do with anything, but if this was released as an actual game, I would buy it and play it. That is all.

  5. Agreed Trey, I don’t know if the NBA can beat that. Side note- the characters representing Kobe, Dwight, etc. look so awesome in full armour!

  6. Why is Tim Duncan smiling?

  7. This is some Dynasty Warriors kind of ish… and I love it.

  8. I love how even if you didn’t see the Bulls’ logo, you’d know it’s Derrick Rose by the droopy eyelids. Too bad we didn’t get to see what Noah looks like as a computer animated chinese warrior…. haha!

  9. Dynasty warriors, as in NBA dynasties

  10. This is more “Dynasty Warriors” like than it is Tekken.

  11. i want to play that video game!!!
