Denver resident here. The scoreboard in the arena moves just as quickly. I think the broadcast score and arena scoreboard are linked. I think the guy taking the score must keep his hand on those buttons the entire game. So annoying.

Skeets, I noticed the same thing. They added a point from a Steve Nash free-throw while the ball was still in the air. The ball spun out and they took the point away.
I guess if you’re going to add points prematurely a Nash free-throw is a good bet.

Shaq gave himself a bunch of nicknames, too. But none of them really stuck. Except for “Diesel” and “Shaq-Fu”
