Ep. 934: Ten Minutes

On Tuesday’s live episode of “The Fix,” The Jones discuss the Lakers/Nuggets track meet, Nash’s brutal first half, Dwight’s free throws, a vintage Paul Pierce performance, the Celtics fouling-up-three strategy, Tyrone Corbin’s lineups, that ugly Wizards-Raptors game, Bradley Beal, Amir’s “Harlem Shake” video, and The Temptations.

All that, plus the worst NBA nicknames of all-time, whether Rubio could host the Oscars, and what we would write on our shirts/chests if we rushed an NBA court.

  1. Denver resident here. The scoreboard in the arena moves just as quickly. I think the broadcast score and arena scoreboard are linked. I think the guy taking the score must keep his hand on those buttons the entire game. So annoying.

  2. What’s the book off payoff gonna be

  3. Skeets, I noticed the same thing. They added a point from a Steve Nash free-throw while the ball was still in the air. The ball spun out and they took the point away.

I guess if you’re going to add points prematurely a Nash free-throw is a good bet.

  4. I agree on Bryant. You can’t give yourself your own nickname.

Shaq gave himself a bunch of nicknames, too. But none of them really stuck. Except for “Diesel” and “Shaq-Fu”
