  1. My upset laden prediction.
    Rockets-7, Lakers-6, Denver-6-, Memphis-7
    Miami-5,Celtics-7,Indiana-6,Brooklyn-6

  2. Last Overdose of the year? No more pun-gun, TOTW, or anything? Didn’t the Overdose continue through the playoffs last year? WHY ARE YOU TAKING ANYWAY EVERYTHING I LOVE?!!

(not that I plan to stop listening to the Fix every day or anything)

  3. So the video-livestreams of the playoff-tbjs are at what time every day and i just access them by opening the audio?! feed in itunes of the podcast? sorry i am new to this itunes jibberish.

    • Video livestreams of the show start at 11 a.m. ET, Monday thru Friday now.

Best way to catch it is to just pop your head into the blog here five or ten minutes before 11 and click the “WATCH LIVE” post which Trey throws up.

  4. I agree with Kenny Smith, I had stress diarrhoea last night after you announced no more videos during the next two months and this was the last overdose.

PS- Is that how diarrhoea is spelled? I had no idea it had an O in it, but spell check is telling me it does. I’ve been wrong my whole life.

    Worst. Day. Everrrr.

  8. I agree about using the ABA ball for a series.. They could at least do it during Denver home games since the Nuggets were originally from the ABA.

  10. West:
Thunder-Rockets: OKC sweep. OKC is angry about the haters of the Harden trade, go after it hard.
Spurs-Lakers: Spurs in 5. Spurs will take one off, demolish defenseless Lakers.
Denver-Warriors: Denver in 6. Iggy defending Curry is huge.
Clips-Griz: Clippers in 6. Couple overtime games here, but man CP3 and Jamal Crawford cannot both be contained at the same time.
    East:
Miami-Bucks: Miami in 5. Monta goes for 50 and wins one game.
Knicks-Celtics: Boston in 7. Their stingy defense will win out.
Pacers-Hawks: Pacers in 6. Josh Smith and Al Horford will make something happen.
Bulls-Nets: Bulls in 7. D-Rose come back and goes for thirty.

  12. Hey Guys! Great job on predictions.

Predictions for the 1st round of playoffs
    Thunder in 6
    Spurs in 5
    Warriors 7
I agree with all of you that the clip vs griz series is the hardest to predict. I made a bold prediction that the clip win the whole thing so I gotta pick the clippers. Grizz are such a tough team that they could easily beat them. – Clippers 7

    East
    Heat 4
    Knicks 6
    Pacers 5

  13. i thought this week was also gonna be the all nba team debate…was looking forward to that

    • Decided to save All-NBA talk until there’s a little downtime during the playoffs. In a few weeks, we’ll have nights where only one game is going on.

  14. Thunder in 5

    Clippers in 7

    Heat in 4

    Celtics in 7

    Pacers in 5

  15. hahaha vegas is giving Milwaukee 75/1 odds to beat Miami

also TBJ, you’re the biggest squares on the planet. Every year you pick the favorites to win every series and every year you lose, time to change things up.

ATL has a great shot to beat Indiana, and Boston will give NY hell!

  16. Thunder in 4

    Spurs in 5

    Denver in 6

    Memphis in 7

    Miami in 4

    Knicks in 6

    Indiana in 6

    Bulls in 6

  17. West:
Thunder in 6 (one game where Harden goes for 55 on 19 shots & one game where Rockets make 19 threes)
Spurs in 4 (Lakers have nooooooooooo defense)
Denver in 5 (home record this season: 38-3 + David Lee will get absolutely raped + Warriors have no defender on Chandler; 60 point Curry game in g3 + pumped up crowd and that’s their only win. In OT.)
Clips in 6 (Conley will get shut down by Bledsoe, which means that Grizzlies will have no crunch time presence). BTW all games in this series will go down to the wire and Chris Paul will single-handedly win three of those for LAC. TBJ’s belief in Grizzlies is astounding.

    East:
    Miami in 4 (no-brainer)
Boston in 6 (big Jeff Green series, KG looks healthy as opposed to any of Knicks bigs, Bradley/Green is a great matchup on Melo/JR, Boston’s perimeter D is a great matchup against Knicks’ shooting, I don’t think Melo’s prime is enough to carry them, this series won’t be about scoring, Celtics will make sure of that)
Indiana in 5, but who cares…
Nets in 6 (nobody in Chicago can guard Deron Williams + Noah’s not 100%, then again, who cares…)

  18. West:
    Thunder in 4
    Spurs in 6
    Grizzlies in 7
    Nuggets in 6
    East:
    Heat in 4
    Celtics in 7
    Nets in 6
    Pacers in 5

  19. Totally agree with Trey and Wroblon above. Somewhat stupefying that the Clippers’ success against the Grizz and CP3′s presence (in addition to home court this year) is seemingly dismissed. I’m a Clippers fan, but the Clips seem to just own the Grizz.

  21. Can we created special shoes for Derek Fisher that go ice cold blue as he misses shots.

Equally a graphic for Dwight that adds a graphic brick for each free throw missed, until he’s wearing brick shoes.

  25. Wouldn’t the next logical step be for Russ to dress in actual costumes?

    For Example
    - A full length skunk outfit if he puts in a bad performance.
    - Or a robot costume (implying he’s a machine) on a good night.

And if KD wants to get involved, he could start dressing up as a giant tarantula.

  26. Other ideas I had were

If during the Houston series they started wearing fake beards in the pressers.

Or If Russ thought of embracing facepaint a la “The Ultimate Warrior”.

    • These are brilliant ideas. And I am not being sarcastic You are literally the smartest person on this blog. (Not the highest compliment, I know, but it is at least something.)

      • Seconded! (That’s all I wanted to say but the site wouldn’t allow such a short comment)

    • Genuine thanks dude/s.
After an extremely unsuccessful Melbourne Comedy Festival I needed some positive reinforcement. And that wasn’t meant to be a humble brag.
I just don’t know how to work social media.

  27. OKC in 6
    Spurs in 6
    Clipps in 5
    Nuggets 6

    Heat 4
    Pacers 5
    Bulls 6
    Knicks 7

In Clipps-Griz series it really depends on CP3, without him Clipps look like lost kindergartners.
Celtics-Knicks will be most entertaining series. Atmospher of Conference Finals in first round!

BTW guys, did you make fun of Dwight Howard 300 Speech on the show?

  28. Thunder in 4 – A sweep, but with every game feeling tight, a la Thunder-Mavs 2012.
Spurs in 6 – Pau and/or Dwight will step up and have a huge series. The rest of the Lakers will struggle at times.
Nuggets in 5 – Mark Jackson’s relative inexperience will be exposed against George Karl. Curry will generally struggle in his first playoffs (but may go apeshit in a few games).
Grizzlies in 7 – CP3 goes off, but Memphis is set on revenge for last year.

Heat in 4 – Nothing to say here.
Knicks in 7 – I was originally going to say 6, but this week’s events do not make me confident about pulling off road wins in Boston.
Pacers in 6 – Hibbert and West take care of business. The Hawks are who we thought they were.
Bulls in 7 – Thibodeau’s schemes hold the Nets backcourt in check. Brook Lopez’s first playoffs don’t go well. This will be a lower scoring series than NY-Boston.

  29. Heat-4
    Knicks – 6
    Pacers – 6
    Nets – 6

    Thunder – 5
    Spurs – 5
    Warriors – 6
    Grizzlies – 7

  30. Sorry Trey, but I think the Noah availability (and to some extent Taj) tips this towards the Nets. Noah’s impact is too big, particularly on how Boozer plays offense and when he doesn’t play defense.

Anyway, a splendid season, though really despicable shirt rotation. I know you’re shopping at Loblaws, but c’mon.

  31. Lakers in 6

  33. OKC 4
    spurs 5
    denver 6
    clippers 6

  34. Playoff predictions (totally not influenced by what happened already I swear)

    Thunder in 4
    Spurs in 5
    Denver in 5
    Memphis in 6

    Miami in 4
    Knicks in 5
    Indiana in 7
    Chicago in 6

    • I think I have 9 points. 7 series correct + 2 points for getting Miami and Memphis series length right.

      round 2:

      Memphis in 6
      San Antonio in 6

      New York in 7
      Miami in 6

  35. Tad-bit late… but yeah.

OKC in 5, LAC in 6, DEN in 6, SAS in 6
MIA in 4, BKN in 7, IND in 6, NYK in 5

OKC in 6, SAS in 7
MIA in 6, NYK in 5

OKC in 6, MIA in 6

    OKC wins in 7.

  36. Tas, the 05-06 Denver Nuggets (with Earl Boykins and Earl Watson on their roster) lost in the first round (4-1) versus the Los Angeles Clippers. However, I can’t seem to verify that Watson was activated at the time.

  37. 2010-11 Phoenix Suns had Earl Barron and Earl Clark on their roster but unfortunately they did not qualify for the playoffs. I think your statement may still ring true if the subtext was that no team has ever lost a playoff series with two Earls on their active roster and getting minutes.
