Great pick, John Hollinger, former ESPN employee. Tough break, John Hollinger, current Grizzlies VP of basketball operations.
(via John Hollinger)
wow that many people picked the lakers over okc when did they pick teams?
lol @ bruce bowen
You would have thought he would have chosen the Spurs not only bc he was on the team but bc he has to always reference them or Pop more than a few times in every podcast episode he does for ESPN.
Funny I had Memphis…
One is now a VP of Basketball Operations, the others are still just anchormen.
Simply shocked that so few thought Dwight and Kobe might have issues… Didn’t the lakers only win in the last game of preseason too? Was it during of before preseason these were picked?
Every so called basketball analysts before the season began: lAkErz_f0r_LiFeZzZ!!
And this is why he’s paid to run a team.
Any idea if this was before/after the Harden trade?
Just checked, after
Man, would you really write off a team so stacked with talent like the lakers just because they lose a couple preseason games???
Also, we should remember that they got really hit by injuries, It’s really hard for a team to go out there without your starting pg AND also your bench pg. And that without even mentioning pau gasol and metta world peace.
Here in Argentina we have a saying: “With monday’s newspaper, we are all experts” (soccer matches are played in weekends).
Not riding off the lakers… But any of the concerns people had should have put the thunder above them… Maybe spurs too… Coming in the top 3 in the west isn’t riding them off…
I don’t know who Dr. Jack Ramsay is, but his PhD probably isn’t in Accurate Predictions Sciences (zing). Wade for MVP(???), Westbrook for Most Improved, Taj Gibson for Sixth Man, Spo for COY, and.. wait for it… Sullinger for ROY? Lolz man.
Who knows how OKC would’ve done if Beverly hadn’t injured Westbrook. And it was the fucking Dwightmare 2.0 for my beloved Lakers. KD can’t get far in a small market. Pair him with Love and a good PG, ship Jim Buss out, Lakers are set
