After Marquette rallied to take down No. 14 Davidson on Thursday and set up a Saturday matchup with No. 6 Butler, Golden Eagles coach Buzz Williams referenced the fact that the Bulldogs made a commercial out of their last victory over Marquette.

That commercial, an ad for ESPN’S “Watch ESPN” app, revolved around the buzzer-beating, game-winning three-pointer Rotnei Clarke hit over Marquette at the Maui Invitational earlier this season.

If you’re a big believer in bulletin board material, then it’s probably safe to assume that watching the footage of their last matchup with Butler and not wanting to star in another Bulldogs commercial is all the motivation that Williams and Marquette need today.

Here’s Butler forward Jamil Wilson’s take on it, via this Fox Sports Wisconsin story: “Every time you watch ESPN and there’s a game they always bring up that app and there’s Rotnei Clarke falling into the bench and hitting that shot. I never really forgot that all year. That was a frequent reminder.

Butler vs. Marquette tips off at 7:45 p.m. ET tonight in Lexington.
