In the two weeks since the 2013 NCAA tournament tipped off, college basketball has seen its fair share of scandals. There was the Los Angeles Times revealing that Shabazz Muhammad is actually 20-years-old instead of 19. Then came the Mike Rice scandal at Rutgers that resulted in Rice being fired and assistant coach Jimmy Martelli resigning. Western Kentucky’s director of basketball operations resigned on Thursday amid prior NCAA allegations, and now this – Ed Rush has resigned as Pac-12 coordinator of officials after some odd comments made towards officials during the Pac-12 tournament.

Rush allegedly offered officials a $5,000 reward for a trip to Cancun, Mexico to the ref that called a technical foul on Arizona head coach Sean Miller, though conference commissioner Larry Scott told The Associated Press that Rush’s comment was an “inappropriate joke.”

Miller was hit with a technical during Arizona’s 66-64 Pac-12 semifinal loss to UCLA and was actually later fined $25,000 for confronting an official on the floor. He also went on this rant in his post-game presser…
